The Holden Arboretum

More than 120,000 species of trees, wildflowers, and native plants take root across The Holden Arboretum’s 3,600 acres of themed gardens and natural terrain. As birds chirp overhead and butterflies binge on nectar plants, visitors make their way across 12 gardens on guided tours or leisurely strolls. The most intrepid wanderers can spend a full day attempting to navigate more than 20 miles of trails that wind through a rhododendron garden, a mature beech-maple forest, and a waterfowl observation blind. Guides facilitate a more focused experience during forest explorations and home landscaping sessions, the latter of which demonstrate how to best layer ferns over dungeon trapdoors. The arboretum also hosts numerous lecture series, youth programs, and special events such as Fridays in the Garden, where light refreshments accompany presentations or walks with horticultural experts.

The Groupon Guide to: Getting a Million Dollars

One million dollars is the most money anyone is scientifically capable of wanting. Here are the most convenient ways to secure your seven-figure fortune:

  • Inherit $999,999 and charge someone $1 to hear the tragic story of your wealthy parents’ disappearance.
  • Find a blank check like in that movie Blank Check, or its popular sequel, Blank Check 2: Check, Please!
  • Make reliable investments—what’s something that’s been around for hundreds of years and is still used today? That’s right—trains.
  • Become a professional athlete. When you’re done paying to have most of your body reconstituted by doctors, you should have one million dollars left.
  • The Monopoly man is real; find him and take what society is owed.

Who was the Monopoly guy based on? Trick question: himself.
