Cupcakes are everything great about full-size cakes but are smaller and come in a free wrapper, which looks like a tiny coffee filter and will make your desk smell like cake for two days. Appreciate the little things with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $6 for one dozen mini cupcakes or a half-dozen large cupcakes (a $12 value)
  • $12 for one dozen large cupcakes (a $24 value)

Customers should call ahead if they desire flavors that aren’t on the day’s normal menu. As cupcake flavors vary from month to month, customers are encouraged to check The Lofty Cupcake's website for this month's flavors.

The Lofty Cupcake

Deep down, owner Leslie Butler always wanted a job naming nail polish and lipstick shades. But her love of working with people, as well as her great affection for cake, led her to instead apply her naming skills to more than 100 cupcake flavors at The Lofty Cupcake. Monikers like “The Devil Wears Raspberry” might need a bit of elaboration (chocolate cupcake with raspberry filling, topped with chocolate frosting and a raspberry candy speckled with brimstone), but others are deliciously self-explanatory: vanilla chai spice, maple bacon, and Boston cream. Many flavors are themed by season or occasion. A daily determines a few flavors that will be at hand, but customers can score any flavor on the menu if they order ahead.

Though it’s hard to imagine so many flavors fitting in Butler’s kitchen, that’s exactly where Butler and her daughter began their business. Unsurprisingly, they eventually moved to and renovated a drive-through coffee hut to suit their baking needs. Now they have the space to create cake pops, brownie bites, and cupcakes that can be filled or topped with an array of sweets.

The Groupon Guide to: Spicing Up a Monologue

Monologues are the most boring part of plays since they only involve a single performer and that single performer is never an adorable baby actor. To make these seemingly unending passages more interesting, follow these helpful tips:

  • Do something interesting with your voice. You could give your character an accent or, if you can't do a convincing accent, just yell the entire time.

  • Cut out all the unnecessary words, such as articles and any full sentences that don't foreshadow how the main character is a group of children hiding inside a man's suit.

  • Wear a funky hat or rad loafers. That'll give the audience something to look at!

  • Perform it with multiple people and tell the director you're going to start calling it a fun-o-logue.

  • Start at the end of the monologue and work backward. Then when you finish, tell the audience that they just got Pranked'd™. (If you're interested in buying the rights to use the name Pranked'd™, probably for a hilarious hidden-camera goof show, please contact Groupon for more information.)

Why is there so much yelling in plays? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
