Questions and Answers

We have shared it between four adults before and they don’t mind.
Do you have to pay for this with a Discover card or can you use Visa, MC ect…..

Hi Kathy! The Discover Card promotion is for those subscribers who would like to take advantage of that opportunity to use their card. You may use any of those cards you mentioned!
Thanks for getting your Groupon with us! Morgan w/ Groupon
I know the Deal FAQ says groupons cannot be combined with other offers, and I am wondering if this includes gift certificates. I have a gift certificate to the melting pot and would love to use it at the same time as this groupon.
Thanks!
Can you buy multiples and use them at the same time? If a dinner for two is $80-$90, I’d like to buy two…
If we are with friends who also have the same coupon, will you accept two coupons per table?

Hi Federico and Shelly- The Fine Print does state “limit 1 per table.” Please also know that the $80-$90 totals mentioned above are a specific set/course meal and it’s not required that you choose those menu options. The menu has a ton of different selections at multiple price points. I hope that helps!

can this groupon be used at any of the melting pot locations?

Good Morning Roxanna- This Groupon is valid at two great Austin locations; Downtown
305 E 3rd St. Austin, Texas 78701 and Northwest 13343 Research Blvd. Austin, Texas 78750.
Hope that helps! Morgan w/ Groupon
I have a groupon for the Melting Pot that expires this weekend, it was the same groupon deal. If I purchase a new groupon today, can I use them both this weekend (same visit)? Or only one groupon per visit (I assume). Thanks!
Hi Chris, The coupon you are referring to is a different offer/deal and we are limiting the redemption to one per table and not valid with any other offers. So I suggest you use the one that is about to expire on your visit this weekend and then save the Groupon for a future visit.
Hi Anna,
If your Gift Certificate is a gift card, it acts just like cash, so you can also use your Groupon with the Gift Card. If it is a paper certificate, please contact me directly and we can figure out weather it is eligible to be combined with the Groupon.

Is the groupon valid on “Ladies Night” specials?
Hi Jennifer,
The restrictions/fine print do state that the Groupon is not valid with Ladies Night Out (it is already a discounted menu). It is also not valid with Happy Hour or other discounts/offers that we have going on right now. Also, we are asking that there is only one Groupon per table.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

If we have a certificate for a free chocolate fondue if we purchase the Big Night Out (or because it was my birthday), can we use that certificate with the Groupon?
Thanks! I LOVE the Melting Pot! :D
Thanks Lauren & Happy Birthday!
We are not allowing Groupon to be combined with any other offers or discounts.

Okay. Wasn’t sure if that counted as a special offer or not.
And thanks! It was actually back in October. I just haven’t used the coupon yet. :o)
I have a question about the prices on the menu. For an entree the prices range from $18 – 25ish. Is the entree enough for only one person or is it enough for two. I can see that the cheese fondue specifically states (feeds 1-2), but nothing on the entree. So, just curious how much is included in the entree. Never been here, but can’t wait, already bought my coupon!!!!
that completely depends on the size of your appetite. I eat at the melting pot all the time and typically each person needs their own meal. If you do the Big Night Out you can’t go wrong!
figgy
I’ve never been but it sounds interesting. I downloaded the dinner menu……it says something bout choosing a cooking style and an added charge of $6 per cooking pot…..what’s that bout? If for example your ordering 2 entrees and one cooking style…….would only one $6 charge be applied? I’m a little confused.
Hey Kelly, I’m assuming this can’t be used with the Double Date Night, right?
At Xmas ya’ll did the buy a gift card get a gift card. Can this be used with the little tear off coupons that you use one per 3 months?
Good grief, what don’t you people understand about “limit 1 per table” and “cannot be combined with other offers?”
Lydia – The individual entrees on the menu include salad and entree and are portioned for one person. Cheese and Chocolate Fondues are additional. The Big Night Out includes all four courses and is priced and portioned for 2 people.
Romeo – The entree comes to the table uncooked and you are going to cook it in fondue pots of either Court Bouillon or Canola Oil which are included in the price of the entree. We have two premium cooking styles (Coq Au Vin and Mojo) which are an additional $6 per pot. Usually a table of 4 or less gets one pot. Larger parties can have 2-3 pots.
Melissa – Double Date Night would be a discounted meal, so Groupon can not be used with that. And the same with the holiday gift cards.
Basically if you have a Groupon that is the only discount we will give off of your bill and we will only take one Groupon per table. I hope this helps.

I still haven’t used my groupon and was hoping to use it for lunch while my kids were in school. Can I use this for the lunch items for resturant week?
Hi Katherine,
You can use your Groupon during lunch today. You just cant use it towards the Restaurant Week menu since it is already a discounted meal. You may order off the regular menu and use the Groupon. Also, remember that we are not typically open for lunch except for this Restaurant Week which ends today. Please contact the restaurant directly if you have any other questions. 512-401-2424. Thank you.

So when the menu says “$92 per couple”…does that mean 3 people (not such big eaters) can share that…or is there an extra charge if a 3rd person shares the same exact set course?
