I need probably 4-8 hrs of moving time, probably with two people and a truck. How does this coupon work? Does it enable me to buy a whole move @ $44/hr or is it $44 for the first hour then $173 for each extra? How many people does it include? Does it include a truck?
The deal says:
. For $44, you get one hour of moving from a three-person crew (an $89 value) and two wardrobe boxes (an $84 value) from The Movers Group, a $173 total value.
Which means that for each additional hour you’ll pay $89 and you can use 2 coupons per visit. I called the company and they confirmed that it includes a 3 person crew and a truck
does the deal include the truck rental or just the crew?
This deal was right on time. I called the company to have a few questions answered and they were knowledgeable and polite. I look forward to doing business with them.

More questions: does the time spent include time driving to/from the pickup location? I live in Lake Worth and I’m moving to W. Palm Beach. Are there any additional fees? Are there scheduled breaks that we’re expected to pay for? I’ve had awful experiences with Florida moving companies — one company spent an hour at a bar then insisted I pay for it before unloading my stuff — so tend to be nervous. But, on the other hand, I do need movers.
Its a total scam..it requires a minimum of 3 hours and then they also bill you for 1 more hour of travel time…and they are not responsable for any valuables..
shaun..this is not a scam…yes we do require min 3 hours..and we are giving 2 groupons to be applied…we are responsible for valuables whether there was a groupon or NO groupon….That is required in our tariff..have a good day

Can you buy 4 and use them all for the same move?
I’d just call Randi; I spent awhile on the phone with her and she seems great. You can buy two of them, which is good for two hours moving time credit. There are minimums and driving time that vary with your location, where you’re moving to, and how much stuff you’re moving. But it’s rare that a move would take less than their minimums and, having checked myself, all moving companies have minimums and drive time. So this won’t cover a whole move but it’s essentially a free hour (buy two for the price of one) and some free wardrobe boxes. Since their rates are competitive for all but the cheapest moving companies — which end up ripping you off anyway (trust me, I speak from experience on that one) — it seems like a good deal.
Do you guys charge more for stairs and/or elevators? I am trying to move my boyfriends stuff from his one bedroom condo and my one bedroom apartment into a two bedroom townhouse at a completely different location. Are there any extra charges for this type of move. Thanks!
