On television, criminal investigators are slick and relentless, which explains why most kids want to grow up to be cops, actors, or a pair of sunglasses. Shine like a snooping star with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $28 for one ticket to a two-hour murder-mystery dinner (a $60 value)
  • $55 for two tickets to a two-hour murder-mystery dinner (a $120 value)

Murder-mystery dinners take place at French Creek Manor. Meals include:

  • A crisp garden salad
  • Choice of entrees that includes beef tips in burgundy sauce with garlic mashed potatoes, chicken marsala with mashed potatoes, and pasta primavera
  • Vegetables and dinner rolls for sides
  • A mystery dessert

Drinks are not included in this Groupon but are available for purchase. Vegetarian options are available upon request. As taste buds examine a scrumptious spread, exercise detective skills with Murder at the Masquerade, an evening of mock murder and faux fatalities set at a ball where everyone hides behind ornate masks. Each comic mystery begins with a murder and the arrival of a detective to the scene to locate the perpetrator in the audience. Slyly sleuthing and sorting out clues, attendees work with tablemates to solve the caper and clear their good names and sketch out blueprints for a deerstalker hat with integrated deer radar. The Murder Mystery Company recommends that guests arrive 30 minutes before the show begins. See the schedule for a list of performances.

The Murder Mystery Company

The Murder Mystery Company's talented troupe of improv actors performs live-action murder mysteries at public and private events to sharpen guests' latent detective skills. Throughout the play, the cast drops hints and misdirects blame, inviting audience members to get involved in a web of intrigue and hilarity. Besides public dinner parties, murder mysteries can unfold during corporate events, team-building exercises, and birthday parties for aging Sherlock Holmes impersonators.

The Groupon Guide to: Barbershop Chatter

The barbershop has gained a reputation for being the place to go for listening to all sorts of lively chatter. Here's a sampling of what you might hear your barber say next time you get a haircut:

  • "Take 2 inches off the top? Yep, that's something I can do when these casts come off."

  • "I've been thinking about labeling the scissor jar 'Scissors' and the comb jar 'Not Scissors.' Thoughts?"

  • "Ha! No, this isn't the kind of barbershop that sweeps up the hair clippings."

  • "Someone stole all of our magazines, but you can read this letter I've been meaning to send to my estranged wife."

  • "Welcome to the barbershop, where men are kings and kings are giants and giants are half off before noon."

Why are barbershops called "listen holes"?
