Groupon: Collective Buying Power

The deal expires quickly and OPEN TABLE will not allow a reservation in March What’s up with that?

So if there is only 87 days to use and they sell more than 870 (Does the dining room fit 100 or more ,less? . Would you have to go for lunch?

Is this deal applicable to breakfast/brunch/lunch as well, or just dinner menu? It seems like this deal would be best for one of those meals rather than attempting to get in for dinner.

Can you redeem this Groupon for a Gift Certificate?

Can you use this for just drinks at the bar? They make great martini’s!

I have heard about their martinis! I was thinking appetizers and drinks at the bar….

Hi Patrick, Can you buy a gift card with the groupon?

Would I have to use the full price of the groupon deal ($75) in one sitting or can I spread it out over multiple meals? I’d prefer to use it for their daily breakfasts but can’t imagine I’d eat $75 worth of food in one sitting! Can you clarify this?

Is this how it will work? We’ll dine get a check of let’s say $100. Since we have $75 groupon offer, we only pay for $25 + tax + gratitude??

If I buy this today, could I use it this weekend or on Monday? I know sometimes it takes a couple days to get the email, but is it possible to use it upon purchase?

can you buy more than 2 and use them both at one sitting?

Is there a certain amount that you have to spend on food or can you spend it on drinks and snacks? In other words do we have to get meals? Or is is just that it can not be used solely on drinks?

Hi Lena – Groupons are the equivalent of a gift certificate or voucher redeemable like cash (except for the fact that no change is given if you do not use the entire value of a Groupon). With that said, the “Fine Print” section always lays out any special usage conditions. How you choose to spend this Groupon is up to you. In my humble opinion, you’re doing yourself a disservice by skipping the food – but to each his/her own!

Will there be more of these at any point?

I am really unhappy, I didnt read the fine print, and it expires in March. I am not even visiting Boston until April, and the Oak Room manager Leo wont extend it by 2 weeks. Anyone want to by it from me, or Patrick that keeps writing in from the restaurant, maybe you are nicer than Leo?

i’d be willing to buy it from you if it’s possible. I don’t know how I would get you the $ if you’re not local and I don’t know how or if the groupon is transferable.

Allyson, i would love that. I have a lot of family back there, what city are you near, and i could mail it to them, and you could just pay them? I read earlier that they never look at the name on a Groupon or check ID so i dont think that would be a problem.
