The laser eyelid lift kicks off with an in-depth consultation, during which Dr. Sepehr determines candidacy, enlightens clients on necessary precautions, and observes eyelids as they flirt with errant butterflies. Dr. Sepehr eschews blades in favor of the SmartSkin laser. Pulses of light energy work to eliminate excess skin, outfitting faces with taut eyelids. The high-tech device keeps swelling and bruising to a minimum, but average downtime can last five to seven days. Like a caterpillar's metamorphosis into Tinkerbell, the entire process can occur on a single day, but The OC Center for Facial Plastic Surgery recommends scheduling consultations on a day separate from the day of the procedure to ensure ample preparation time.
