Beginning and ending at Redhook Brewery in Woodinville, this tour sends paddlers down the Sammamish River to soak up the aroma of blackberry bushes and wildflower meadows and catch glimpses of geese, kingfishers, and majestic, undomesticated mountain bikers. After the kayak tour, Forecasters Pub at the brewery vies with other local dining favorites for adventurers' culinary attentions.

For the Lopez Island tours, seafarers ferry themselves to Lopez Island, where they are outfitted with double or triple kayaks, personal flotation devices, and basic paddling instructions. As skiffs skirt the shoreline, harbor seals and bald eagles might be seen performing their aerial and aquatic waltzes to the castanets of dungeness crabs, so a camera is highly recommended.

Horseback and hiking trips delve into the lush woods, and nature photography excursions pause to celebrate the beauty of the wilderness near Index. The core team of 14 guides takes safety seriously, most with certifications from the American Canoe Association, training in wilderness first aid, CPR, and swiftwater rescue, and life vests tattooed over their chests.
