Today's Groupon gets you $20 worth of DIY unflappable flapjacks and perfectly pressed paninis for $10 at The Pfunky Griddle, home of "The Griddle in the Middle." Come Tuesday through Friday to create your own delectable creations on a tabletop griddle. It's the perfect group outing for hungry high-schoolers, culinary control freaks, or people who travel the world searching for restaurants that offer tabletop griddles.

At The Pfunky Griddle, you get to cook all the pancakes you can eat atop a powerful griddle in the middle of your table. Heated to consistency by pfire-breathing pfairies, the professional griddles cook perfectly golden flapjacks. Flip your delicious discs while comfortably seated and leave the cleanup to the friendly Pfunky staff. The Pfunky Griddle's menu includes homemade organic five-grain and unbleached white pancake batters to ensure that your pancake experience trumps the supermarket boxed mix.

Your pancakes will have the superior spring-back and topping support of a premium mattress without the tough-to-digest embroidery. All-you-can-eat pancakes ($5.99 for adults, $4.99 for kids 10 and younger) are served with honey, homemade syrup, and butter. Each dish comes with one topping, but you can add a host of others, such as blueberries, M&Ms, applesauce, granola, and more for $.75 per dish, or get a side of country ham ($4.50) or some gluten-free toast ($2.00). Or spice up your own pancake batter with pocket-lint or a handful of Monopoly tokens.

If breakfast's not your bag, try one of The Pfunky Griddle's gooey paninis, such as the gorgonzola and black forest ham with walnuts and sliced apples ($8.50), the veggie delight with artichoke hearts, black olives, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, feta, and a balsamic reduction ($9), or the Kalua pig sandwich with Hawaiian style pulled pork with plum sauce and BBQ ($8). Each sandwich comes with Pfunky's homemade pasta salad, fruit cup, or a bag of chips.

  • The service is always amazing, and where else can you go cook your own pancakes. – jacobcasino, TripAdvisor
  • We had an absolute blast flipping pancakes and eggs right at our own table. The food tasted great!!!...and we did not have to clean up after ourselves, which was a nifty bonus. – Betty032, TripAdvisor

The Pfunky Griddle

Diners flip their own flapjacks at The Pfunky Griddle, where every oversize table is topped with its own grill. Unlimited ladles of organic five-grain and unbleached white batter sizzle to golden-brown before they're sprinkled with such toppings as coconut flakes, peanut butter, and blueberries. The menu also accommodates special diets with options for gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan batter. Chef-made sandwiches—such as a blue-cheese-and-roast-beef wrap—can also be constructed with gluten-free bread upon request.

If The Pfunky Griddle's menu emphasizes homey comforts, the decor channels the great outdoors. Painted trees and blades of grass adorn the walls, and tangled branches traverse the ceiling, bringing to mind a rugged forest campsite or that time you watered all your houseplants with Muscle Milk. A skylight lets in ample sunshine on a spacious back deck.
