$98 for a Food-Intolerance Testing and Health Evaluation Package Over Two Visits (Up To $785 Total Value)

The package includes:

  • First visit with comprehensive and holistic physical exam (a $250 value)
  • Food-intolerance and mineral-deficiency testing (a $90 value)
  • Venipuncture (a $25 value)
  • Blood test for inflammation (a $30 value)
  • Infection screening test (a $50 value)
  • Follow-up visit (a $120 value)
  • Computerized nutritional analysis (a $50 value)
  • Digital cardiograph if recommended by a physician (up to an $80 value)
  • Eye examination if recommended by a physician (up to a $90 value)

During the one-hour initial visit, an experienced physician conducts a physical examination and utilizes a nutritional questionnaire to assess each patient's overall health. The examination includes a holistic evaluation of the tongue and nails; a blood pressure and adrenal gland function test; and a calcium and essential fatty acids test. For the blood-inflammation test the staff takes a small blood sample, often from the patient's fingertip, which is used with the Carroll food-intolerance test to pinpoint foods that the body does not efficiently digest or metabolize. Left undigested, harmful byproducts linger in the bloodstream and can trigger digestive discomfort, kidney problems, and arthritic pain. A 45-minute follow-up visit with a doctor reviews the results of blood tests, holistic physical exam, and nutritional assessments. Health recommendations are provided and a strategic individual dietary plan is outlined to optimize your personal food tolerance by limiting combinations that, like the news that you'll be sharing a room with your grandparents, prove difficult to digest. Customers will receive a typed report of all findings and health recommendations for their records.

Portland Clinic of Holistic Health

Portland Clinic of Holistic Health's trio of eminently qualified physicians—Dr. Eric Blake, Dr. Christopher Metro, and Dr. Melissa Woodyard—each found their path to naturopathic medicine differently, and the combination of their histories and talents creates a clinic equipped to handle everything from acupuncture to natural childbirth. The basic philosophy behind naturopathic treatment involves reducing excesses—whether it be of toxins, calories, or stressors—and restoring deficiencies through nutritional counseling and relaxing exercises. The clinic repertoire of services includes several procedures, including naturopathic physiotherapy and Carroll Food Intolerance Testing, which can reveal particular sensitivity to edibles such as legumes, milk, and pinecones.
