The Reptile Zoo

"The Reptile Man" Scott Petersen melds his passions for both education and reptiles at his zoo, which he calls the Serpentarium, where kids can touch or hold some of the inhabitants. Inside, snakes, lizards, gators, and turtles slowly slither or amble around their enclosures, visible to curious eyes. Many species and colors of both venomous and non-venomous snake are represented, from the albino monocled cobra to the surinam red-tailed boa constrictor. The zoo is also home to invertebrates, including some of the planet's biggest spiders and cockroaches. An onsite party room hosts birthday bashes with a focus on education and absolutely no snakes hiding in the cake.

Reviews

I loved it here and besides who would have known I would reach out and touch a snake or even hold a baby alligator.

The guy who runs this place is super nice: he lets you take photos with his snakes and he spent some time answering questions
