Safely mobilize with today’s deal: for $4, you get admission and skate rental (up to a $9 value) at The Rollercade, located on Recoleta Road near the North Star Mall. This deal is only valid for general public-skate sessions.

The Rollercade encourages carefree gliding with its ideally smooth skating surface, which helps guests find their wheels and roll to their feet’s content. With admission to the rink ($5–$6.50) and a pair of rental skates ($2.50), visitors can set their shoes spinning to the upbeat sounds of Top 40 tunes on Fridays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Entire families of roller lovers can get in some quality skate-bonding on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Check the schedule to get a complete list of this fall’s weekly skating sessions embroidered onto your brain jacket. The Rollercade’s skate castle keeps legs happily plopping their best wheels forward, while eyes find continuous delights in the interior décor, which features an abundance of neon lights and a mesmerizing magic-carpet pattern of day-glo swirls.

The Rollercade

The Rollercade helps guests find their wheels and skate to their feet’s content five days a week. Surrounded by neon lights and a mesmerizing magic-carpet pattern of Day-Glo swirls, visitors can skate to Top 40 tunes on Fridays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. or enjoy some quality skate-bonding during open hours on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. When guests clear out, the Alamo City Rollergirls wipe the floor with opponents at matches sprinkled throughout the spring and summer months. The rink's private lessons let skaters master the skills necessary to emulate their roller-derby idols—rolling in both directions at once, for example, and toppling over safely. Tired visitors can relax by the snack bar or take a nap on the pool table.
