Depending on students' experience level, certified instructor Merissa guides them through her basic yoga routine or more advanced vinyasa flow class. Throughout each 60-minute session, she provides students hands-on assistance, incorporates meditation and sanskrit singing, and helps establish daily rituals for keeping the mind and body refreshed.

The Sacred Flower

The Sacred Flower owner Merissa wears many hats. As an avid actress, singer, and dancer growing up, she pursued a Bachelor of Theater Arts degree at Cal State University Fullerton, where she first encountered yoga during a theater class. To get a firmer grasp on the principles of yoga, she later attended Jivamukti Yoga Charleston School and completed hundreds of hours of training to become a certified yoga instructor. She shares her vast knowledge of yoga practices with her students during private sessions, where she seeks to nourish the mind, body, and spirit with limbering yoga postures, meditation, and sanskrit singing. Using her natural talents as an entertainer, she also works with aspiring actors, dancers, and singers to fine-tune their respective skills.
