The Studio in Madison
Founded by filmmaker and radio personality Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau, The Studio in Madison heats up yoga sessions in its Machinery Row Building locale, accented by exposed brick, soaring bay windows, and hardwood floors. The recently expanded space also offers showers and three new studio spaces, including a lake view from some. Balancing mind and body like a metaphysical unicyclist, classes at the flexodome focus on strength, stamina, and meditation respectively. First-timers enjoy two complimentary uses of the studio's mats before needing to purchase or rent their own, and all are welcome at regularly scheduled workshops and discussion sessions, which can cover topics from health and nutrition to marriage and parenthood.
I love it. The frequent availability of classes is terrific, the instructors are unique and all wonderful.Brian B., Yelp, 12/1/12

“The building isn't well marked but there are small signs right outside of the location to direct you in. It seems their focus is warm/hot yoga, so if you are not into this, it may be difficult to find classes that work for you, especially if you are trying to hit the studio on your way home from work. The space is absolutely beautiful and I love that they provide tea and relaxation before class begins.”
