$65 for a Race and Amusement-Park Package (Up to $137.09 Value)

  • Entry to the 5K Mud Run presented by The Survival Race, including registration fees
  • All-day admission to Six Flags Great Adventure on the same day, June 15

On Saturday, June 15, at Six Flags Great Adventure, racers run in waves that start every half-hour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Runners should arrive one hour before their start time to stretch and collect race packets. More details are listed on the event page.

Race entry also includes all-day admission on June 15 to the Six Flags theme park, which features attractions ranging from the 14-story Bizarro coaster to meet-and-greets with Looney Tunes characters.

The Survival Race

The Survival Race’s 5-kilometer track challenges racers to navigate a gauntlet of mud-laden terrain. Staggered waves of 300 runners each conquer military-style obstacles, wade through murky water, and slide through muddy trenches before reaching the finish line to celebrate at a shindig awash with delicious eats and smitten swamp monsters. Afterward, a Facebook album aids online nostalgia by showcasing dirt-caked athletes and their marshy feats.

The Groupon Guide to: Knowing When to Quit

Sometimes it's better just to quit now than to see it through and find out what it feels like to be a winner (they're eternally happy). Here are some examples of times when you should quit:

  • You're ahead.
  • You're last.
  • You feel like you might throw up.
  • They're giving personal pan pizzas to everyone who quits.
  • Your mentor has downgraded you from "protégé" to "ongoing frustration."
  • You have a chance to create a new identity for yourself in a small New England town if you just walk away now.
  • Quitting is "your thing," according to all of your past fiancés.
  • No one wants you to win because you're a villain, and for you, winning means selling a bunch of elementary schools to an evil corporation that will turn them into recycling centers.

Hi, I'm Stiven Knatts, and I'm glad to be here in Hidden Town, Rhode Island.
