Inviting somebody to break bread is an act of hospitality, like when a strongman breaks his door in half so you can come inside. Share a meal with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $20 for $40 worth of Italian-American cuisine
  • $35 for $70 worth of Italian-American cuisine for parties of four or more

The menu includes New American dishes such as pan-seared salmon ($19) or broiled sea scallops ($19)—both of which are locally caught and delivered fresh daily—along with British classics such as fish 'n' chips ($17) and Italian staples such as chicken bernardo ($21), or veal roma ($21). On Friday and Saturday evenings, diners can choose 16-ounce slabs of certified Angus prime rib ($26), or fresh 8-ounce filet mignons ($29).

The Talk

The Talk's owners keep their family recipe book wide open, just like the thick steel bank vault in their dining area, which also boasts a wine bar made of polished granite and wraparound booths that hug tables. Chef Billy Holt and his kitchen staff wrap their hands around fresh ingredients when preparing heirloom dishes, such as veal piccata, eggplant parmesan, and chicken marsala, as well as sea scallops broiled with seasoned bread crumbs and pan-seared trout with sun-dried tomatoes.

Sincere servers dart around the dapper dining area, jotting down orders, balancing trays, and seating private parties behind the vaulted door of the Vault room. In the dining room, guests lounge in beige booths and gaze at black-and-white photos or read the vinyl wall print that reads La Dolce Vita. The Talk also boasts awards such as "Best of the Best" in 2010, 2011, and 2012 from Market Surveys of America, and was voted the number one choice for dinner by Reader's Choice Awards in 2011.

The Groupon Guide to: Typing Techniques

In grade schools, children are taught one way to type on a computer keyboard—with their hands and not at all with their tiny, perfectly suited for typing toes. Here are some other typing techniques not taught in America's learning rooms:

Hunt and Peck: One of the slower typing methods, it involves the typist "hunting" for each letter individually and then "pecking" the letter with a long cane.

Touch Typing: The same as the standard typing technique, but instead of touching the keyboard, let the keyboard touch you.

Fast Fingers: Standard typing technique, but a little bit faster.

Fancy Fingers: Pretty much the same as "fast fingers," but a little bit slower, and your fingers dance upon the keys like a dainty woman’s feet upon a wet dance floor.

No Fingers: Just throw a rock at the keyboard until you hit the key you want. If you end up breaking the keyboard, buy a new one and start over with a smaller rock.

I'm so proud of my son. He learned how to type with a cane.
