The Thirsty Lion Tavern

A roaring fireplace crackles in the lounge, warming patrons as taxidermy animal heads glower down at the cushy booths and barstools of The Thirsty Lion Tavern. Twenty different draught beers—including authentic Celtic ales, stouts, and ciders—pair with a menu of hearty Irish and English specialties. Throughout the week, darts soar into targets and balls shoot across pool tables beneath the glow 12 flat screen high-definition TVs, as colourful slot machines whirr and jangle. Every Friday night, the restaurant also hosts live bands in lieu sticking a drum kit into a industrial-size clothes dryer.
