On Saturday, November 16, The Ugly Sweater Run kicks off at 11 a.m. Clad in their gaudiest holiday finery, participants chart an untimed 5K course fueled by hot chocolate before officials dole out wacky awards. Each entry includes a custom vintage knit hat, unlimited hot chocolate, two hard ciders or lagers for runners age 21+, and a mustache; kids younger than 8 participate for free. Each guest is encouraged bring along a new toy to put under the race's huge Christmas tree and the haul is later donated to the local Toys for Tots chapter. For more information, see the race page
