The Village Mediterranean Restaurant & Pastries

Chefs at The Village Mediterranean Restaurant & Pastries prepare a full menu of Mediterranean specialties including lamb, beef, and shrimp kebabs and eight kinds of savory pie bundled in housemade dough. But the restaurant is probably most popular for its traditional Middle Eastern pastries. An in-house pastry chef prepares more than 100 different desserts from scratch. Sticky triangles of cashew, walnut, and almond baklava form one pillar of the pastry roster, while maamoul walnut cookies and namoura—squares of semolina cake soaked in sugar syrup and topped with almonds—are available by the platter should you need to host a party or lure a nest of honeybees away from your stuffed Winnie-the-Pooh.

“Service was very slow and forgetful. We had the platter which only came w/two skewers instead of the three listed in their menu on their website. Lamb was cooked perfectly, salad on platter was fresh, hummus w/platter was tasty. They forgot about our falafel appetizer and it came 7 minutes after dinner platters were served. Not very busy on Tues evening we went and yet service was suffering. Same menu for dinner as for lunch?? We'll try them for lunch.”

“the food was OK, my husband lovedhis mel.I was disappointed as my lamb kabob was ground meat - not at all what I expected. The waitress was attentive and adorable. The worst part, which quite frankly would keep us from returning, was the loud, annoying, grating music. ”
