I was interested in buying this groupon but not having access to Vintage Steakhouse’s website when they launch a groupon is discouraging and raises questions in my mind about how they run their operation. I hope they learn from this mistake!
Website shmedsite the Vintage is amazing! This won’t stop me from buying.
This sounds wonderful, but the restriction of only one per table doesn’t allow you to go with another couple that also has a groupon certificate. I guess we have to ask for separate tables next to each other. I was going to recruit new members for Groupon but this discourages me to do so. Could have been a lot of new repetitive customers for Vintage
Buy this groupon! This place is great. I have eaten there several times with my husband and we have given their gift certificates to friends and family. The food is great, presentation great and the train car atmosphere is wonderful. I plan to get my groupon and more

The Vintage Steakhouse is currently working to get their website back up, it was something that was out of their control so please don’t hold this against the restaurant. I will make sure to update the discussion board once the website is back up. Our subscribers come to Groupon to check out the daily deals to try out new places and have a great experience at a wonderful business they might not have already known about in their area. I understand your concern, but you can use 2 Groupons for tables of 5 or more if you come with a larger group. The Vintage Steakhouse is offering a really great deal today, but obviously Groupon does not want a business to suffer from being on Groupon. This is a great deal to try out a new place and gives you an excuse to save some money at the same time! There are always new deals, feel free to check out the other great features in the future!

I know this is annoying… but I really could use a romatic dinner with my boyfriend to spice things up. Is there any way I can get the groupon to use for tonight? I’ve already purchased one and i’m waiting for the email now :) Thanks!

Sounds a like a fun date night with your boyfriend, but unfortunately you can’t use a Groupon until the day after you purchase the offer. You can use it tomorrow though! Hope this helps!

Trevor…not to be picky, but I believe the proper phrase is “Website shmebsite”. But you’re right that people should not let the web issues detract them from taking advantage of a great deal.
Rich…do your friends a big favor and turn them on to Groupon…as the owner of a company who did an offer previously with Groupon (Flightdeck Air Combat Center…Nov 13th, 2009), I can attest that it works! It’s a win for the vendor…they get great exposure and some additional customers, and people buying the Groupon get great deals! The system works exactly how they say it does. They handle all issues very professionally and nobody goes away unhappy!
new to groupon. what if I do not use the full $70 at one time? Do I get a credit from the restaurant? Also, what if I go over the $70 limit by a few dollars?

Welcome to Groupon! If you don’t use the entire $70, unfortunately the remainder does not carry over. However, we do try to design our deals to be used all in one visit. If you do go over the value of the Groupon, then you would just pay difference. Also, please remember tax and gratuity are not included in the value of the Groupon. Hope this helps and enjoy Groupon!

Question: I am new with Groupon, when you purchase 1 groupon does that cover two people or do you need to purchase 2 groupons

The businesses we feature on Groupon want to offer our subscribers a great experience at special price, so with this Groupon offer for The Vintage Steakhouse it could cover two people obviously depending on what you order when you use the Groupon. Just a reminder as well, as the fine print states you can only use one Groupon per table unless there are 5 or more people at the table. Hope this helps and enjoy Groupon!

When a restaurant is featured on Groupon they keep their normal menu items and it would be for the entire menu unless it is stated in the fine print section of the offer.

So if our bill comes out to exactly $70 with tax and tip included will the coupon cover it? or if no matter how much food we buy we are responsible to pay separately for the tax and tip?

Hi Anna-
As the fine print states, tax and gratuity are not included in the value of the Groupon which is very standard with most Groupon offers. So, you would be responsible for paying for tax and gratuity.

The Groupon site told me I had purchased today’s deal, but it doesn’t show up under my stuff. Does this require a leap of faith ? I don’t want to lose today’s deal, but I don’t want to duplicate my order either. Thank you for clarifying my being able to use one groupon for two people. That made my decision for me. Jim

I gave up waiting for a reply and bought the groupon (again?). At least now my stuff says I have the groupon. Too much drama for my first time out…lol…I hope it’s worth it. Jimmy

Tried to view their website to see the menu offered. I received the following “Account for domain www.thevintagesteakhouse.com has been suspended”. Perhaps they need to renew their domain??? May sell more groupons if people were able to see the menu
