After a 15-year professional fighting career, Thomas “Thunderkick” Longacre wanted to bring his unique knowledge and skills back home. Thomas created Thunderkick Fitness to help his clients build better bodies and to teach pupils his personal fighting style, a blend of tae kwon do and goju-ryu. Students learn a multidimensional approach to fighting, incorporating elements from boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. The facility hosts cardio kickboxing classes for an up-tempo workout, as well as children’s karate classes that instill discipline and self-confidence. The gym also includes a grappling area with an octagon-style chainlink fence to simulate a professional fighting environment, as well as a forest of swaying heavy bags for students to punch, kick, and use their heat vision on.
