At the Solano County Fairgrounds, doors open at noon on Saturday, June 29, for an all-day celebration that includes live music or DJs, inflatables, a costume contest, and, of course, an epic tomato fight.

In the event Tomato Assault is unable to acquire tomatoes, it will still host the event using dirt, foam, paint, watermelons, or bowling balls.

Though this merchant sometimes offers a discounted price online, this Groupon is still the best deal available.

Tomato Assault

The creative minds behind Tomato Assault have turned 40,000 pounds of tomatoes into an all-day party benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Festivities kick off at noon with music, inflatables, and a costume contest, all leading up to the main event: a tomato fight of epic proportions. Inside the tomato pit, revelers hurl, chuck, and squeeze tomato guts at their fellow participants, abiding by the rule the messier the better. The day's fun is augmented by beer and food onsite.
