Experienced guides give a quick lesson before releasing kayakers to explore the scenery and wildlife of the slow-moving Humber River
Choose Between Two Options
- C$25 for an introductory lesson and rental of a single kayak for one (a C$49.95 value)
- C$50 for an introductory lesson and rental of a tandem kayak for two (a C$99.95 value)
All tours include choice between a one person kayak or a tandem kayak, life jackets and equipment for each person. Each aquatic exploit, which is ideal for beginners of all ages and those who enjoy the outdoors, begins with an introduction to kayaking or canoeing lesson, during which experienced professors of the paddle will review the basics of the vessel and how to navigate it around menacing goslings. From there, clients take to their watercraft for a tranquil 1.5-hour trek down the Humber River, one of Toronto’s major waterways. As guests glide across the waters, they can absorb the sights and sounds of a natural world not seen in big-city life—the sweet coo of the muskrat, the massive wingspan of the carp, or the gambling addiction of the blue heron. Lessons and rentals may be booked Wednesday–Sunday, with a $10 additional fee for Saturday and Sunday.
