The up to 90-minute How to Massage Your Mate class teaches basic Swedish- and sports-massage techniques to couples who want to deepen their connection through touch. Instructors go over tension-release techniques for the one of the following areas:

  • Head and neck
  • Shoulders, arms, and hands
  • Legs and feet
  • Back

It also teaches how to give someone a one-hour massage without straining yourself or training a dog to do it for you. After a demonstration by the instructor, couples get to work practicing the techniques on one another. Comfortable clothes and shoes are required, and no nudity is allowed. This class is not an accreditation course.

Tovah's Therapeutic Bodywork

More than a decade ago, Tovah Kincaid realized the power of massage therapy after a chiropractor relieved a source of pain that had troubled her for some time. After graduating from Anthem College as a licensed massage therapist, Tovah went on to gain valuable experience working as a massage therapist in a spa and for hospice care before she founded Tovah's Therapeutic Bodywork.

In private treatment rooms, Tovah relieves sources of tension such as an overworked muscle or an upcoming airplane-pulling competition, drawing on Swedish modalities or reflexology techniques.
