During the two-hour lesson, a minimum of three instructors leads a group of up to 10 students through the basics. Each session begins with a warm-up and introduction on the ground, and the remainder of the time is devoted to flying through the air. No prior experience is required, though students must be aged 6 or older.

After 12 years spent teaching and performing the art of trapeze, including a stint with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, aerial wizard Peter Gold founded The Levis JCC Presents: Trapeze-Experience West Palm Beach in 1997 to share the gift of flight with others. At several schools located throughout the country, Peter and his teams of instructors have helped tens of thousands of people sweep and soar—all without a single student getting injured or hurtling into deep space.
