Questions and Answers

Is this only for the trapeze class? or could this be used for the Silks too?

alex j. asked 4 months, 11 days, and 13 minutes ago - 1 answer

Trapeze S.

It's intended for flying trapeze, but if you want to use it for silks that's Ok. The savings will not be as much, though, as a 1hr silks class plus registration totals $57.

i have a 5 year old who did a bit of trapeze at club med and was pretty good- can she do it in this class or is she too young?

Jessica E. asked 4 months, 13 days, 3 hours, and 40 minutes ago - 1 answer

Trapeze S.

No, she is not too young. We have a recommended minimum age of 6, but we've had (and can have) flyers younger. We've found that under 6, attention span and coordination may be an issue. Parents know their children much better than we do, and so we leave it to the parent to know if their child will be able to follow instruction, pay attention and have the needed coordination. If your child has done trapeze before, they'll likely be fine. However, parents should note some children may become too afraid after arriving (not often, but it can happen) that per our cancelation policy, if a minor is unwilling or unable to complete the session, the Groupon will have been used.

When will the class schedule be out for April?

Stephen W. asked 4 months, 11 days, 7 hours, and 28 minutes ago - 1 answer

Trapeze S.

Our Flying Trapeze class schedules are usually posted around the first of the preceding month -- so April's class schedule should be posted in the first few days of March.

i have a 5 year old who did a little trapeze at club med-- can she take the class? she did very well...

Jessica E. asked 4 months, 13 days, 6 hours, and 17 minutes ago - 1 answer

Trapeze S.

Sure! The reason we recommend 6 or 7 is that that seems like the age were kids typically can pay attention for the 2 hours, but you know your child better then we do, so you make the call. It also sounds like she's a bit of a circus monkey and we love circus monkeys so please come visit us.

How many people are in each class?

Sydney J. asked 4 months, 14 days, 1 hour, and 46 minutes ago - 1 answer

Trapeze S.

We have up to 10 students per class for the flying trapeze.

Trapeze S. answered 4 months, 14 days, 1 hour, and 20 minutes ago

Does the class exclusively teach ground training or will there be a significant amount of actual in-air trapeze work? I'm definitely interested in this, but if it's just training on the ground with a bar then it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I want to do the real flying!

Sydney J. asked 4 months, 14 days, 2 hours, and 36 minutes ago - 1 answer

Trapeze S.

You will spend the first 10-15 minutes on the ground going over safety and what you will be doing in the rig. Once that is over, you take turns with the rest of the class and learn by doing. You will actually be swinging through the air during the class, and you will even attempt a catch going from one trapeze bar to another where one of our instructors will catch you.

Is there any age requirements to take this class? I was thinking about it for my 5th grader.

Michele N. asked 4 months, 15 days, 6 hours, and 20 minutes ago - 1 answer

Trapeze S.

We recommend 6 or 7 years of age to start the classes, however it really depends on the kid. I think most 5th graders would be great at it and really enjoy it as well.
