$9 for One-Day Admission for Two ($18 Value)

On March 9 and 10, famed travel hosts and writers gather with travel agencies to open up the world to attendees of the Washington DC Travel & Adventure Show. The event schedule features seminars from Rick Steves and the Travel Channel's Andrew Zimmern, and between presentations or exhibitions, attendees can learn to scuba dive in a heated pool, ride an aerial zipline, or exchange business cards with some of SeaWorld's penguins. Deals on travel around the world are also available from the exhibitors on hand. Guests aged 16 or younger may attend free of charge.

Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show

Summoning television hosts, travel agencies, and renowned chefs, the Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show helps attendees open the door to international journeys with exhibits and seminars on the art of traveling. Famed travel writers and hosts such as Joe Diaz and Rick Steves lead seminars on topics that include volunteer vacationing, lessons from the road, and how to get a good night’s sleep on the roof of a moving railroad car. Travel companies and associations exhibit deals, discounts, and prepaid trips to attendees, and visitors can sample the attractions of faraway countries with a selection of hands-on activities that include culinary showcases, zipline rides, and Segway jaunts. The schedule brims with seminars and presentations throughout the exposition.

The Groupon Guide to: Email Viruses

One of the great risks of traveling the computer highway is contracting the computer virus. If you receive an email with a suspicious link, read this now:

  • Click on the link. If it takes you to a site that boasts Miracle Weight Loss Chowder or Grow Hair Everywhere Even Inside and Never Wonder Why, this is probably not a virus, just a helpful suggestion from a concerned friend.

  • If it is a virus, email the person who sent it to you. Ask if they meant to spam you. Chances are they were actually trying to get rid of a virus by sending it to trash@garbagemail.net and just typed your name by accident.

  • Turn on your computer's spam-blocking filter. This will automatically get rid of any email that isn't from a blood relative, parole officer, or shoe website with wonderful sale prices.

  • Get offline for a while. The best way to escape from a computer virus is to unplug, disconnect, and spend a few weeks shouting your feelings at neighbors instead of pouring them into an uncaring, soulless social network.

Where do my feelings go when I send them to trash@garbagemail.net? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
