Armed with a souvenir glass, guests roam the festival sampling unlimited sips of more than 75 craft beers from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. For an extra fee, they can taste the beer's costars: 10 varieties of chili complemented by 10 international cheeses. In addition to unbridled consumption, the festival hosts a live chili cook-off, live music including bands and bagpipes, and flat-screen TVs to keep visitors up-to-date on sports action.

Pepper's Chilibrew Fest

Last year, more than 6,000 festival goers indulged in the spicy flavors of chili and swigs of beer backed by Celtic rock and Motown beats. This year, Pepper's Chilibrew Fest recreates the magic on an even larger scale, hosting 75 craft beers from breweries including Lagunitas, Dogfish Head, and Sweetwater. At the tasting theater, which has doubled in size since last year, guests can also sample 10 piping-hot varieties of chili for an additional fee, or can exchange a canned good for one chili token.

Playing a soundtrack to the frenzied feasting, bands such as Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans—a five-man Celtic-rock outfit—and Motown mavens The Black Honkeys inspire bouts of dancing. Big-screen televisions dot the festival grounds, ensuring guests don’t miss out on any sports action. The grounds also host dedicated corn-hole grounds, where friends can compete in games of bag tossing and seeing who can spill the least beer on themselves.
