Tuanis Surf & Paddleboard School

They stand atop the water, staring out at the line where aquamarine ripples meet blue sky and fluffy clouds. Then, each takes a long paddle, pushes off, and begins to glide gently toward that idyllic horizon. Each day from sunrise to sunset, the instructors at Tuanis Surf & Paddleboard School teach aquatic adventurers how to balance and navigate atop standup paddleboards—an ultrastable version of a surfboard, developed in Hawaii—or learn the somewhat more difficult art of riding a traditional surfboard and keeping it from running off with packs of dolphins. Optional mimosas and guided sunset paddling tours reward students for their hard work at the end of lessons.
