Questions and Answers
Same question. Does the individual membership include any complimentary guest passes?
Good morning and thank you for your interest! With an Individual membership you receive free admission to the museum for one person. Family/Dual memberships provide free admission for two adults and children.
Guest passes are included with higher level memberships, please let me know if you would like more information on other levels of membership!
I am so happy to see this deal! This place is wonderful and my favorite time to visit is in the spring since I come for the garden first. Family membership is a terrific deal, especially if you have friends/family coming to visit. Here is an out of towner’s perspective from 2008 – http://thebackquarteracre.blogspot.com/2008/05/tudor-place-washington-dc.html. I love Hillwood but this gives a fantastic alternative and really adds to my love for this area despite of the traffic.
Looks like a good place to try my photography skills.. in for 1
Had to buy a family membership considering this place is practically next door to me! Thanks Groupon and TP! ~RondaB
Thanks for the link to my web-site <http://thebackquarteracre.blogspot.com/2008/05/tudor-place-washington-dc.html>. An “out of towner”? Ouch, that hurts! I was born in DC and raised in Maryland but now live in New England. My mother and grandmother were Maryland garden club members and many of the plants in my New England garden are transplants from the DC area. I miss azaleas and winter pansies!
It is a good deal, and a Beautiful property. Just one thing though, as forward thinking as George Washington was reported to be, I find it hard to believe he was this advanced.
“Over the ensuing 179 years, the stunning American Neoclassical house became home to six generations and hundreds of historical artifacts, including more than 100 objects, letters, and DVDs once belonging to George and Martha Washington.”
DVDs? Really?
@Paul C. – impeccable timing, I’m now wearing my coffee. Besides, George was more of a Blue Ray guy.
@doctormom – I stand corrected and love your blog. In my arrogance I believe that your photography was the tipping point for the skyrocketing sales which allowed us to benefit from the groupon. :)
Paul, you are correct! Of course DVDs were not part of George and Martha Washington’s belongings, nor are there any in the collection of Tudor Place. However, there are many other fascinating objects from the George and Martha Washington at Tudor Place! This includes one of only three existing letters written from George to Martha Washington!
When I signed up for the Tudor Place Groupon the deal was for 1 year, yet the print out said it ends March 2011. That’s onlly 6 months. Can you tell me what the actual length of the groupon is.
Thank you. I’m really looking forwared to visiting Tudor Place.
Michele C.

Thank you for purchasing a membership! Yes, the length of your membership to Tudor Place is one year. March 2011 is the date that you must activate your membership by. In other words, you have until March of 2011 to redeem your Groupon. When you redeem your groupon we will send to you your activated membership cards. Your membership wil then l be active for one year following that activation. Please let me know if you have any other questions! You can reply to this list or email me at membership@tudorplace.org.

If I buy the individual membership, can I bring a friend/guest to visit the mansion too?
