Underwater Connection

About 375 miles off Mexico's Pacific coast lays Socorro Island, a land where giant, 20-foot-wide manta rays glide along the surface, sharing the calm, clear, sunlit waters with divers from around the world. This volcanic island is but one of many yearly diving destinations frequented by Underwater Connection's team, including sites as far as the Galapagos and Indonesia. To prepare aquanauts for such explorations, the Underwater Connection instructors host classes that range from open-water courses for beginners to more advanced courses for specialty or rescue diver certifications. The instructors also lead programs designed for active and retired military personnel. When they’re not in the water, they can be found in the onsite dive store, where they rent, sell, and service equipment for anyone who lacks a set of gills or a really long garden hose.
