Choose Between Two Options

  • $50 for a Try Scuba class (a $125 value)
  • $199 for an open-water certification course (a $499 value)

Led by a certified scuba instructor, Try Scuba classes introduce nautical neophytes to the wonderful world of scuba diving. After a one-hour introduction and orientation, classes strap on equipment and jump into a heated pool to experience the feeling of breathing underwater. Alternately, with the second option of this deal, students can proceed to achieve their UTD open-water certification. Broken into six sessions of four hours each, the course covers classroom and open-water instruction in small groups of four to six students. Open-water dives meet at the La Jolla shores. This deal includes the following equipment: scuba gear, gauges, wetsuit, tanks, weights, and air fills. Test gear will also be provided for the pool. The following personal equipment is not provided: mask, fins, snorkel, hood, boots, and gloves. Click here for a schedule of upcoming events.

Unified Team Diving

The staff at Unified Team Diving can transform someone who’s never scuba dived before into a professional diver with their expansive menu of classes and courses. In their onsite heated swimming pool, instructors orient students to the world of breathing and exploring underwater. Combined with classroom sessions, they can award their students various certifications such as recreational diver, technical diver, diving instructor, and overhead diver, which includes cave diving. They conduct their training dives at the nearby La Jolla shores, which offer shallow wrecks, walls, and kelp for students to explore.
