A registered nurse uses the GentleMax laser to target follicles, thereby reducing the growth of hair on untanned skin that falls on the Fitzpatrick Scale between types I and VI. GentleMax can deliver up to 60–90% hair reduction. Although treatments can be effective in permanently reducing unwanted fuzz, four–seven treatments spaced four–six weeks apart are typically required for optimal results due to hair-growth dormancy and laser-absorption rates.
