Yoga emphasizes seamless transition between poses, a skill set adopted by the Navy to teach cursive flag semaphore to its sailors. Spell out serene stances with today's Groupon to Urban Yoga, located inside the One Lexington condominium building. Choose between the following options:

  • For $39, you get one month of unlimited yoga (up to a $119 value).
  • For $139, you get three months of unlimited yoga (up to a $299 value).

Urban Yoga's knowledgeable, passionate instructors bestow wisdom and individualized attention upon students of all skill levels during an eclectic mix of classes held seven days a week. The Slow Flow class helps beginners and overexcited river rapids hone their technique with basic Vinyasa poses that focus on alignment and breathing. More advanced yogis can harness the soothing power of soft lighting and music to relax during Yin Yang classes. Like a rigorous seminar in the Village People's "YMCA" dance, the Ashtanga class challenges students to perform a predetermined sequence of poses, beginning with 10 sun salutations before moving on to one of six main series and a finishing resting pose. Blossoming body benders can splay themselves out on their own yoga mats or rent one for an additional $2.

Two studios populate Urban Yoga's 4,000-square-foot space, replete with locker rooms and a retail boutique. Exposed cement-block walls support 20-foot-tall ceilings towering above glossy wooden floors in one studio, while the other room's deep green walls cultivate an atmosphere more intimate than getting a palm reading from your own shadow. After arriving from the nearby Osborn light-rail stop or navigating vehicles through the free parking garage, clients can head to the complimentary tea bar for pre-workout hydration.

I love the instructors. I love how said instructors make sure everyone is on the same page, and assist you to nail the perfect pose.
