Participants can peruse the colorful wares, pausing for complimentary psychic readings, henna tattoos, or makeovers courtesy of Macy’s cosmetics. They can also visit with local notables in the form of FOX61's Rachel Lutzker and WZMX 93.7’s Nancy Barrow when not rifling through their included goodie bags. VAz StyleHartford is just one of the many events thrown by VAz Media LLC, the brainchild of co-founders Alana La Fleur and Vanessa Jennings. The duo established their company to give women a place to relax and socialize in a supportive environment free of stress or the incessant pandering for their votes from mayoral candidates. La Fleur and Jennings also partner each event with a charity, heaping funds upon organizations such as the Connecticut chapter of the National MS Society and CT Women’s Education and Legal Fund.
