Digital cameras have allowed photographers to spend less time in dark rooms and more time gluing cotton-ball wigs and googly eyes onto old film canisters. Create art in the digital age with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $59 for a creative camera adventure for one (a $200 value)
- $89 for a creative camera adventure for two (a $400 value)
During three- to four-hour creative camera adventures, students follow step-by-step instructions on location as they focus their lenses on landscapes, posed portraits, or other creative subject matter. Anything from a Digital SRL to a smartphone will illuminate lessons such as arranging an artful composition, managing lighting, and handling ISO and shutter speed. The creative camera adventure includes a complimentary full year of access to the online photography course, Understanding the Basic Elements of Photography, normally a $250 value. See the class page for available dates and locations. This Groupon is valid for any of the adventures listed, including the six-hour Yellowstone National Park Adventures.
Capturing True Emotion
Capturing True Emotion is driven by a dynamic band of instructors who rove across the continent with cameras and teaching skills in hand. By fusing their narrative, tech-savvy minds together into one oversize head, the educators provide comprehensive guidance on both camera operation and creative visualization, giving participants complete control over all of their camera settings. During the hours spent in the company of other pupating shutterbugs, students convene at a tantalizing location to practice skills such as controlling depth of field by adjusting the aperture, composing a family portrait so there's not always a burning zeppelin in the background, using alternative angles to avoid red eye, and other techniques.

“Fabulous class for the beginner or intermediate photographer who really wants to take their photos to the next level. Loved the classroom style combined with field work. They were able to provide informative group instructions as well as specific one on one feedback. I also did the Aquarium visit and learned even more on indoor shooting. Their approach to getting a great shot is fairly unique. I haven't seen any other photographers teach in quite the same way. ”
