Family Membership is 2 adults and their children under 19 years of age (or grandchildren) Garden Members have their own entrance gate for Festival of Lights, not the general queue and receive a discount on Festival of Lights admission tickets

Philip M.

How much is entry to the festival of lights for a family with a membership? The prices only seem to list single adult membership discount.

Are pets allowed at this garden?

CHERYL G.

Most botanical do not allow pets. I have a dog and I love him dearly, but it would be only a matter of time before a dog got loose and reaked havoc upon the beautiful gardens. It does not say a limit on children, just as long as they are under 19 and they are actually your children or grandchildren. As far as adults it would be really unfair if you were just bringing a friend from another household. I think if it was your ex from a different address or boyfriend, of course. Generally, the rule of thumb is the two main caregivers and their children or even the grandparents and their grandchildren. They are already giving a great deal for an amazing and beautiful garden.

I work at Vandusen part time so I know that pets are NOT allowed.

It's a botanical garden, not a dog park. Or do you have some other pet you'd like to bring along? Perhaps your rooster or your aardvark?

Maria J.

I had a family membership before, which expired months ago. Does that mean I cannot use this deal because it says for new members only?

Minter Gardens allows dogs so I don't think there is any need for Toni-Lynn's extreme sarcasm. Everyone should be allowed to ask a question.

Carolyn P. answered 1 year, 1 month, 23 days, 16 hours, and 24 minutes ago

TL F.

I'm sorry, Carolyn...I couldn't resist. Still, Desmond doesn't mention what type of "pet" he might want to bring.... And, as long as everyone is allowed to ask questions, the same should be said about providing answers, no? Either way, my sarcasm was cheeky -- not "extreme" but cheeky :(

MAH .

I just read the comments about the pets and had to laugh because last year we filmed Marmaduke in the park and there were at least 50 dogs and cats running around!! I guess that was special circumstances.....

Based on the price $ 73.00 on their site it's called a 'dual' (meaning 2) so, I don't see that it includes children. Only a family of 2. Can anyone (who works at the Garden's) confirm this?

Suzanne M. answered 1 year, 1 month, 23 days, 16 hours, and 24 minutes ago

Janet M.

I would also like confirmation that it includes children. Because it doesn't say that on the Van Dusen website. Also - how can I buy this in a friend's name and give it to them as a gift in paper format (i.e printed)? I would rather do this than send it to them by email. Thanks

Janet M. answered 1 year, 1 month, 23 days, 16 hours, and 24 minutes ago

Janet M.

Oops - thanks I figured out how to print it as a gift rather than emailing. :) Still have the question about the wording on the Van D website that doesn't mention children.

Children under 6 are free (all year round), unless there are special events (such as the Jack o Lantern spooky stroll)...anyway, anyone know anything else, please let us all know.

The family membership includes 2 adults (any two adults - grandma and daughter, brother and sister, mother and friend) and children (no limit on the children provided they are yours).

Stephanie T. answered 1 year, 1 month, 23 days, 16 hours, and 24 minutes ago

Family, according to the admission and hours section on the VanDusen website, is two adults and 2 people aged 6 - 19. Children under 6 are free. It is a beautiful garden and my daughter and I enjoyed it immensely when we were there in the summer. The Groupon is a great deal and will pay for itself in a few visits to the park.

Hey All- Just as a reiteration: Family Membership is 2 adults and their children under 19 years of age (or grandchildren). Cheers, Jenny at Groupon

Does "new members only" mean that those who have had memberships in the past, that are now expired, cannot participate in this deal?

Maria J. answered 1 year, 1 month, 23 days, 16 hours, and 24 minutes ago

Maria J.

OK I think I just found an answer to my question in the fine print. It says "It is not valid for renewals or memberships that have lapsed within the last six months." So I guess if you had a membership, and it expired more than 6 months ago you're OK.

Maria J. answered 1 year, 1 month, 23 days, 16 hours, and 24 minutes ago

Jenny M.

Maria- You are correct. If you have had a membership in the past, but it hasn't expired recently, you are more than welcome to take advantage of this offer!! Cheers, Jenny at Groupon

My membership expired less than 6 months ago and I have purchased the Van Dusen Groupon. How do I get a credit if Van Dusen does not extend thie Groupon price to me? Jim

Peter

Exact location of the Fine Print, per their Membership application form at, http://vancouver.ca/Parks/parks/vandusen/website/membership/pdfs/Membership.pdf It states, "....Couple/Dual Family*** $73 ***2 adults and children or grandchildren under 19"

Jim- If you need a refund, simply email support@groupon.com and they will take care of you. Cheers, Jenny at Groupon

I would like to know if I would be able to bring my niece and her two young daugthers as my family. Thanks Gwen

Gwen D. answered 1 year, 1 month, 23 days, 16 hours, and 24 minutes ago

Jenny M.

Hey Gwen- As long as it is only 2 adults over the age of 19 you are fine! Enjoy! Cheers, Jenny at Groupon Twitter: JGrouponVancouv
