Crime cannot exist without laws.
Uh.. oh.. That means if there’s no law, there’s no crime.

I love being a tourist in my own city! Always wanted to do this : )

would an administrator be able to find out if the vpm would accept this groupon for an admission for two for one of their workshops instead? i am really interested in something like the forensics pathology workshop! please let me know.

shaz r.

fyi the admission for one for the workshop is the same as the admission for one for the walking tour …;) not sure if that helps but thought id note it.

Good morning, I’m Chris from the Vancouver Police Museum!

This voucher is good for the walking tour and museum admission on the day of your tour; it can’t be used for any of our other programs or tours.

Hopefully we see you in our ‘Forensics for Adults’ workshop regardless—they’re a blast too!

Hi Chris – or someone else from the Museum!

I’m wondering how long the walking tour takes?

Thanks,
Amy

Amy—

The tour is two hours long… leaves from the police museum and travels about 10 city blocks through Chinatown, Japantown and Gastown.

Jenny M.

Mornin’ BC!

Glad to see Chris has already answered your questions regarding the deal.

Please post up here with any questions, comments, compliments or concerns.

Enjoy!

Thanks Chris!

How long is the walking tour? 20 mins?

Heather S.

That’s right, Maya, and there would be no disease without medicine, and my grandmother really wasn’t allowed in Vancouver after 1972…how DO the Grouponians know all this? Are they aliens with superior technology, or just ordinary folks, poking their heads through the space-time continuum?

Jenny M.

Jennifer Y- It’s a two hour tour

Heather- We can read minds… seriously. It’s weird :)

Cheers all!

Arja S.

Would this be suitable for children?

Arja—

This is an ADULTS ONLY tour; we’re discussing the history of sex, drugs, alcohol and gambling on the tour in plain language. Some parents are fine bringing their teenagers, but we don’t watch our language too closely.

I hope that helps.

Thank you Jenny

Jessica O.

Hi guys! My name is Jessica and I am one of the guides for the Sins tour.

To answer Arja S –
We don’t recommend the tour for anyone under 16 (accompanied by an adult) Cheers!

Arja S.

Good to know, thanks

Diandra D.

I really wish the tour would have been included the last time you offered the police museum! Which by the way is really cool! Don’t go in the morgue if you have a weak stomach though. I would love to see more touristy things like this in Vancouver!! I encourage everyone to buy this as the police museum is very interesting.

Diandra—

Thanks for the kind words! We think we’re pretty lucky to have such a weird and wonderful building and so many great stories to tell.

Hopefully we see you on the tour!

1) How much time should we put aside to see the Museum ?

2) Can we just drop in before the tour to check out the museum ?

3) Are there any special times at the museum that certain activities/exibits are going on, or is everything the same all day at the museum ? (i.e. no matter what time you go you will not “miss” anything ?)

Heera—

I’d give yourself 30-60 minutes to see the museum before the tour (it’ll be closed by the time the tour is finished).

The museum is always self-guided, so there’s no particularly “special” time; our special events tend to be one-off programs (like our “Forensics for Adults” workshops) and those are always after-hours and have a separate cost.)

I hope that helps.

Cheers.
