Questions and Answers

Does insurance cover any treatments?

Sherry W. asked 7 months, 16 days, 5 hours, and 5 minutes ago - 1 answer

Connie U.

Great question Sherry! Unfortunately because this is considered a cosmetic treatment and not a medical procedure, insurance does not cover the treatment. This is a great reason to take advantage of the amazing savings of this Groupon deal!!! - Connie-

Heat collapsing the veins? Is that safe and healthy to do? Also, are the treatments painful?

Jodi K. asked 7 months, 18 days, 6 hours, and 25 minutes ago - 1 answer

Connie U.

Jodi, sorry to alarm you with the phrase "heat collapsing the vein". The "heat" is not literally hot; it is a microburst of energy delivered to the vein at the topmost layer of skin, without actually piercing the vein itself. And the collapsing of the vein is similar to sucking air out of a straw. It is extremely safe. A tiny, insulated needle is used, so there is no damage to the surrounding tissue, which is one of the possible side effects of laser or other treatments. The Veinwave system has been used safely and effectively in the UK since 1998, and has received FDA approval for use in the US as well. People's comments regarding "pain" is that it is very tolerable, and most compare it to an insect bite. Thank you for posting: I appreciate your questions and concern. - Connie -

So, the first session is a consultation only? How many "veins" can be reduced in 2 sessions (including the consultation)?

Tiffany K. asked 7 months, 18 days, 15 hours, and 15 minutes ago - 1 answer

Connie U.

Hi Tiffany :-) The first session includes a brief consultation to assess your veins and listen to your needs as to which areas you would like treated, but we will also proceed with a treatment during your first session! Your question on "how many" veins is the most common question, yet the most difficult to answer without seeing you. If you like, you can call me direct and I can try to give you a better estimate based on what areas you need treated, but either way, I am sure you will be very satisfied with the results! They are immediate and permanent! Thanks for your question. - Connie - (715) 415-7139

Will you be able to complete both ankles within the 30 minute session? I

Judy R. asked 7 months, 18 days, 14 hours, and 17 minutes ago - 1 answer

Connie U.

Thanks for your question Judy! It's difficult to determine if both ankles could be completed in one session until I am able to see the extent of the veins involved. During your first visit, I will do a brief consultation and discuss with you which veins could be treated for optimal results, and give you a better estimate of how many treatments you might need. Hope this helps. If not, you can call me to describe your veins and how many you have. (715) 415-7139 -Connie-

This is not done with a laser, correct? Are results permanent? What are the risks or side effects of the treatment?

Melody L. asked 7 months, 19 days, 8 hours, and 27 minutes ago - 1 answer

Connie U.

You're right Melody, this IS NOT a laser. And NOTHING is injected. Veinwave works by the process of heat (however, it is not hot) and collapses the vein beneath the skin, without actually piercing the vein. Yes, the results are permanent! And you won't have to wait weeks to SEE the results. The veins treated during your session will be gone forever! Your body, in some cases, may produce new veins over time, which can also be treated. There are virtually no risks, and side effects may include redness, like a rash, or tiny scabs which could be compared to a cat scratch. These will disappear in a few hours to a few days. For answers to more questions you might have, see the FAQ page at www.vanishing-vein.com. -Connie-

The description says spider veins "too small" to be treated with sclerotherapy. Can you define what is meant by too small? Can this treat slightly larger veins as well? I have many veins that have appeared over the last few years but have never had any treatment. I realize it is pretty hard to say without seeing. What if they are not tiny red lines, but ones that are a bit larger and more bluish? (if that helps)

Amy G. asked 7 months, 19 days, 14 hours, and 58 minutes ago - 1 answer

Liam W.

Hi Amy! Because a consultation is required to assess whether or not Veinwave is the right treatment for you, it might be best to contact Vanishing Vein directly at (715) 415-7139 for specific questions. They'll be able to handle any follow-up questions you may have as well.

Liam W. answered 7 months, 19 days, 10 hours, and 50 minutes ago

What is included in this treatment, i.e. how many veins, etc.?

Jean B. asked 7 months, 20 days, 13 hours, and 55 minutes ago - 1 answer

Connie U.

Hi Jean, thanks for your question. During your first session I will do a brief consultation to assess the veins you are concerned about and at that time be able to determine how many sessions you might need based on what you would like accomplished. It's difficult to answer "how many" veins without seeing you. A typical first appointment is 30 minutes. I am confident you will be satisfied with the results! If you have further questions, feel free to contact me at (715) 415-7139. -Connie-
