Following vehicle orientation and safety instruction, drivers rev the throttle of an off-road truck and take off for laps around a professionally designed short course or in the open desert. On the course, four-wheeled steeds churn dust and gravel as they surmount bank-drifting turns and moguls, and launch from a 40-foot tabletop jump. On the 30-mile desert-challenger tour, patrons leave the compound to traverse Nevada desert wilderness and badlands. Drivers strap in along with their passengers for the first 15 miles, then switch off for the final 15 so both get a chance to conquer natural jumps and rocks, open stretches for drifting, and rugged mountain passes. For each two-hour excursion, staffers outfit participants with a five-point safety harness, helmet, GPS, and radio communication.

Vegas Off Road Experience's wilderness-worthy Roughrider trucks harness the rage of a six-cylinder Ford engine and encase drivers and passengers in stable cockpit conditions cradled by 24-inch tuned suspension. On-staff instructors provide handling instruction and a warning against feeding the engine Mountain Dew after dinner, so that participants can harness the vehicle's maximum potential during short-track and desert-challenge excursions. Visitors maneuver the resilient metal monsters across natural desert jumps and mountain passes, or take to the professional-grade closed course to launch off of 40-foot tabletop jumps and around sharp turns. The on-staff instructors have competed in the Mint 400 race and pass on their speedy prowess through a racing-training program.
