$25 for an Introduction to Rock-Climbing Class with a Return Visit for Two ($50 Value)

During 20-minute introductory rock-climbing classes, knowledgeable staff members teach beginners how to scale Vertical Ventures’ 6,000 square feet of sport climbs and boulders. Climbers learn to properly don safety gear before instructors teach them how to manage the belay ropes. Students receive climbing rights and gear for the day and they may break free from their ground-bound lives once more with a complimentary return visit that does not include gear rental ($11 for shoes, harness, and chalk bag).

Vertical Ventures

More than 6,000 square feet of climbing space at Vertical Ventures beckons climbers skyward with rigorous scrambles to the top of peaks, over boulders, and along treacherous ceiling routes. The staff routinely overhauls old configurations to reveal fresh paths, forcing climbers to exhibit physical and mental agility while bouldering, sport climbing, or top roping––a sport in which climbers ascend to a mountain's summit to lasso its goats. The gym caters to both the beginning and expert climber with challenges spanning the difficulty spectrum, as well as an array of classes on the basics of climbing, movement and technique, or rappelling.
