Laundered shirts are $2.25 each, pants are $5.50 per pair, skirts and blouses are $5.70 each, and sweaters are $5.80 each. Bridal-gown cleaning starts at $90.

Village Cleaners

The textile technicians at Village Cleaners purify wardrobes using a biodegradable solvent called DF-2000 Fluid. This hypoallergenic, eco-friendly solution is sensitive to the needs of fragile fabrics but still has the muscle to break down dirt, grime, and salad dressing around the collar. A fresh dose of solvent goes into each load, along with fresh soap and a brand new filter, to ensure that clothes emerge from the machine as clean as technologically possible and free of static, odor, and allergens.

But the process doesn’t stop there. Once clothes are clean, the staff will starch shirts if requested and replace any broken or missing buttons at no charge. A final inspection sees to it that no spot or stain escapes back into the world, and alteration, repair, and leather care tends to especially needy garments.
