About Vintage Radio and Communication Museum of Connecticut

Since 1990, the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut has traced the history of electronic communication for the enlightenment of the viewing public. Visitors begin their tour by learning about the early days of radio and telephone, inspecting 100-year-old relics of bygone eras, communicating with each other via Morse code, or inviting each other to typewriter meet ups over working candlestick telephones. From there, they’ll move on to the advent of television and follow the technology’s progression to its modern incarnation before finally winding up at the dawn of the Internet age. Visitors can peruse the displays at their leisure, ask a volunteer docent for a free personal tour, or continue their education by signing up for classes on building crystal-set radios.
