$19.99 for Painting Under the Stars Class and One Drink Ticket ($40 Value)

For each two-hour painting under the stars class, students assemble on the VisArts rooftop terrace where they receive pre-sketched canvases, acrylic paints, brushes, easels, and aprons. A seasoned artist provides instruction in the first half-hour and spends the rest of the class mingling among the group and offering suggestions, while students draw inspiration from the featured painting. And once participants exchange their drink tickets for a glass of wine, they can take their pick from a spread of complimentary snacks and sodas, or purchase more wine and beer.

VisArts

A nonprofit community arts center, VisArts fills its studios with artists learning techniques of creative expression, and acts as an exhibition opportunity for seasoned creators. Classes span a wide artistic spectrum, including concentrations such as ceramics and glass, many of which can be specifically tailored for the educational needs of children or resurrected Renaissance men in need of a new hobby. VisArts also enriches the community with a trifecta of galleries—the Kaplan, Gibbs Street, and Common Ground—and a thriving resident-artist program.
