Amid gauzy drapes and vintage furniture, photographer Julia Vie captures the beauty, sensuality, and femininity of each subject during one-on-one boudoir-photography shoots. Upon arrival at the relaxing studio, subjects get into character by sipping on champagne, while rummaging through the studio’s stock of props, jewelry, and hair adornments. During the 30-minute sitting, Julia coaches bodies into thoroughly seductive and flattering poses struck in front of one of five sets, including a spiral staircase and black boudoir bathroom. Sets are professionally lit in order to show clients to their best advantage. Clients should arrive sporting smoky eyes, tousled hair, and a collection of clothes that the photographer will help whittle down to one outfit plus variations.

After their shoots, models choose their two favorite images for the photographer to retouch, minimizing the appearance of any scars, blemishes, or tattoos of ex-boyfriends' phone numbers. Each lady receives a CD with two black-and-white or color files ready to be printed or uploaded.
