At what town do we pick up the equipment and begin the trip? Is there zip lining available in the area? What is earliest time in the spring that you would advise to go up? AKM

Adrian M. asked 5 months, 12 days, 23 hours, and 57 minutes ago - 1 answer

Mike P.

your adventure begins from our dock... which is 55 miles up the gunflint trail from Grand Marais. Yes there is an operating zip line about 10 miles from our lodge. Typical ice out is the 2nd to 3rd week of April.... the fishing opener is the 2nd week of May... most paddlers start about the 3rd week of May

Is there a guide with you the entire way? We are active senior citizens and would love to have this experience. However, we would be lost without a guide to help us portage, start a fire, learn the ways of the wilderness, fish, and help cook. We would do what we could, but......... help is needed.

Karen E. asked 5 months, 13 days, 14 hours, and 25 minutes ago - 1 answer

Mike P.

this particular package does not include a guide... we can provide one for you at 500.00 per day... that being said we do provide all the equipment and routing info for you to have a successful trip in the BWCA

Which package on your website is this for? The Standard Expedition Package seems like a match but none of the prices match.
