  • Two small orders of Weber's fresh-cut french fries (a $4.50 value)

Weber's Superior Root Beer Stand

Rick Bilby, current co-owner of Weber's Superior Root Beer Stand and great-grandson of the restaurant's founder, still serves the same housemade hamburgers and all-natural root beer that brought the orange-and-black stand its original fame. Founder Oscar "Weber" Bilby holds a claim as the maker of America’s first hamburger in the late 19th century, and his original hand-built, well-seasoned grill lives on to cook the fresh ground-chuck patties that put Weber's among AskMen.com's Legendary Burger Joints. Classic root-beer floats wash down meals, their scoops of ice cream buoyed by housemade root beer brewed with 14 secret ingredients. Weber’s Brookside restaurant has sat in the same location since 1933, attracting diners with its vintage signage and holding them captive with delicious onion-ring manacles.

The Groupon Guide to: Barbershop Chatter

The barbershop has gained a reputation for being the place to go for listening to all sorts of lively chatter. Here's a sampling of what you might hear your barber say next time you get a haircut:

  • "Take 2 inches off the top? Yep, that's something I can do when these casts come off."

  • "I've been thinking about labeling the scissor jar 'Scissors' and the comb jar 'Not Scissors.' Thoughts?"

  • "Ha! No, this isn't the kind of barbershop that sweeps up the hair clippings."

  • "Someone stole all of our magazines, but you can read this letter I've been meaning to send to my estranged wife."

  • "Welcome to the barbershop, where men are kings and kings are giants and giants are half off before noon."

Why are barbershops called "listen holes"?
