In a Nutshell

Intensive cleansing treatment detoxifies and hydrates skin with wet dermabrasion, ultrasonic massage, oxygen serums, and LED light therapy

The Fine Print

Spending a day at the spa is a rewarding experience, like winning a science competition or discovering the science-competition trophy is just the result of a shaped polymer with a metallic coating attached to a marble base. Reward yourself with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $59 for one oxygen facial (a $150 value)
  • $159 for three oxygen facials (a $450 value)

The 45-minute treatment begins with a Wood’s lamp skin analysis that uses ultraviolet light to detect clogged pores, dehydration, and sun damage. From there, the aesthetician will use wet dermabrasion to remove dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of fine lines. An ultrasonic massage lifts the skin and stimulates skin tissue, and a Dorsanval high-frequency treatment with a pure oxygen serum removes surface bacteria. Finally, red- and blue-light therapy stimulates cellular renewal and evens out skin tone.

West End Salon & Spa

The experienced aestheticians and stylists at West End Salon & Spa pamper every client, whether they’re a walk-in there for a quick eyebrow wax or a client with an appointment for a full-day spa retreat. They sprinkle skin with gloTherapeutics and BioElements products that are free of dyes, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and bees, and they use technology such as high-frequency antibacterial devices and LED light therapy. In the salon, keratin treatments and blowouts gussy up bedraggled locks, and nails get coats of fast-drying Shellac polish.

The Groupon Guide to: Buying a Car

Buying a car is an intimidating experience. The man looks at you. He wants to sell you the car for more than it is worth. Beat the man. Beat the man until he cries with these tips:

  • Always drive the car. This will let you make sure that it is free of the five most deadly species on earth and that it has a floor and the dealer isn’t Flintstone-ing you (a technique wherein the dealer sells you a car with no floor named after Flint Stone, an early dishonest car salesman).

  • Immediately list everything you hate about the car. It has a nick here, a dent there. It is the same color as your rival’s eyes. You looked at them in a field. You were the last man to look at those eyes. Your rival sold you a lemon. He is gone.

  • When the dealer says the price, scream. Oh, scream until your nose bleeds and all of creation fears your machinations. Oh, scream your voice raw, honey. Good heavens!

  • Ride away on your bicycle. This was good practice for when you really decide to buy a car.

Be sure to scream as fiercely as a newborn babe or warrior brave. Scream with all your grit, sweet honey.
