The menu includes fried wontons stuffed with chicken and potatoes and served with a sweet plum sauce ($6.95), and fried tofu with a sweet-and-spicy honey-nut sauce ($7.50). Tender pieces of roasted duck simmer in red curry with tomato, bell peppers, and basil leaves ($10.95), and a red-curry-and-coconut-cream sauce drapes over slices of the panang salmon ($13.95). Chefs marinate Thai-style barbecue beef spareribs in traditional blends of sauce and spices ($9.95).

Wild Thai Restaurant

Waiters weave among columns, bearing an array of Thai dishes that match the bright oranges and greens that leap from the decor in Wild Thai Restaurant's dining room. Chefs stir tart lemon sauces and simmer duck in a coconut broth with red curry, tomato, bell pepper, and basil, the resulting crimson sauce complementing the swaying orchids on the tabletops. Glowing sconces bring to life the gilt accents on statues and paintings, which shimmer above plates of flat rice noodles. Sriracha sauce splashes a pepper-infused bite across meats marinated overnight. The burn is counteracted by thai iced coffee, which is traditionally allowed to steep tableside and mixed with sweet condensed milk or thrown into the face of somebody who thinks Home Alone 3 is the best Home Alone.

The Groupon Guide to: Cool Scars

Fall is one of the worst times of the year because wearing a jacket, scarf, and long pants will cover up all of your cool scars. Here are some of the coolest scars you can have:

• A face scar that has given you a permanent, perfectly symmetrical flesh goatee
• A scar anywhere on your body that you got from a rich person throwing a wad of money at you
• A mark on your stomach that resembles your favourite food—a roast turkey—which you got from swallowing one whole and having it pressed up against your stomach for a few weeks
• A scar that either looks like a cigarette or was caused by a famous person carelessly holding a cigarette
• Anything caused by a big, fat sword

What's a hairless goatee?
