Questions and Answers
I figured it out. The Upper Salt- This is a great deal- the salt river should be awesome ( and beautiful) this year with all the snow!

Hi Kristina!
You’ll be going for a full day on the Salt River. The actual price break down is as follows:
Full Day is $116 + $20 + $10.44 = $146.44
The $10.44 is a land and water access fee and is listed on Wilderness Aware’s FAQ page: http://inaraft.com/faq-questions.php#hidden
You won’t just be floating, the stretch of the Salt River that you’ll be on is class III and IV whitewater.
Hope this helps!
Enjoy your rafting trip :)

If I get a group of friends to purchase this groupon, can we all go together as our own group?

Hi Melissa,
Yes, but as soon as you get your Groupon ID#’s, you should call in and see what date that they can give you. Enjoy!

Hi there,
If there are 4 people in my family can I buy 4 and all go together? I know the deal says one per person but are there restrictions that limit how many each group uses at one time?
THANKS

Hi Joey,
Yes, read the above that I just told Melissa…enjoy!

Is there an individual weight restrictions?

Hi Jennifer,
Honestly, I don’t know the answer…hang tight and I’ll get it for you soon!

I see that the $85 Groupon price covers the full day package with lunch and wetsuits but does it also inlcude/cover the park fee of $20 and the water fee of $10. Or will they charge us additionally when we get there.
Tammy

Hi Tammy,
The $85 includes all of the fees that you just mentioned!

Can this groupon be applied as a discount to a longer trip?

Hi Rhonda,
This Groupon is for a full day trip. You can call (800) 231-7238 and ask them about other options for the Groupon credit. Enjoy your Groupon!

Hi,
Do you allow pregnant women on the trip? I’d really like to do this but before I buy I want to make sure they won’t tell me I can’t go once I get there.
Thanks!!
Kathy :)
What does class III-IV actually mean? I have only been whitewater rafting once in Veracruz, Mexico but I dont remember what class that was. I would like to take my 8 yr old but I would like to know what to expect before I purchase one for him. Thanks

Jennifer- There is no weight limit, but your chest size can’t be bigger than 60 inches so that the life jacket can fit on.
Kathryn- Wilderness aware can’t allow you to go if you’re more than 3-4 months pregnant. Otherwise, consult with your doctor to find what is best for you before purchasing this Groupon.
Lupita- Your son needs to be at least 50 lbs. The III-IV level is a good all around level. If you’d like to wait until April, it might be a little more calm. Hope that helps!

This is a fun trip and a good price! The earlier in the season, the colder the water and the more exciting are the rapids.
I want to confirm that these trips will be available on the weekend as well as weekdays. I also don’t want to have to book and then wait to see if there are any other Groupons wanting to take the same timeframe that I have requested. Sounds great, if I can be assured of this. Thanks a lot.
Rhonda,
I am the owner of Wilderness Aware. We look forward to meeting everyone…this is going to be the best rafting since 1983 due to the incredible stroms in the White Mountains.
We will discount $146 off an overnight trip with the Groupon.
Lupita…8 years old is the minimum age. If the water is over 3200 cubic feet per second, we will increase the minimum age to 10 years old. The flow depends on the weather that lands on this year’s huge snowpack…if a big storm comes in an it goes too high, you may reschedule for a later date.
Looking forward to a great season!
Joe
Shari,
We raft 7 days a week from March 6-May 9 with a minimum of 2 people. As long as there are 2 people in your group…the trip is on!
Hello Shari – I am Wilderness Aware Rafting. We offer our Salt River trips 7 days a week during our season which runs from March 6th – May 9th.
hello, how many people goes on a raft? and if i have four people and the raft fits six will we be forced to have two other strangers raft with us? or can we have less than a full boat? and if we go in march is it gonna be super cold? but someone mentioned that earlier in the season the more exciting it is?
Alice, I’m sure it would be two strangers opting not to sit with you rather than you not wanting to sit with them. Just make sure to flip them off (I see you’re good at it) and you can pretend like you kicked them outta the boat lol
david- thanks for your sarcasm but im just trying to find out if they require us to have a full boat, so i can let others in my group know, that even if we dont have a perfect number of people we can still go. and i dont care sitting with them, actually i love making new friends, as long as they dont take everything so seriously like you do.

Hi Alice,
The max in a raft is 7 people. They might add one to your group, but it’s not necessary…you can go with six. It won’t be bad in March, but they provide you with gear that will help! Have fun!

I’m still not exactly clear (sorry ). I can purchase two Groupon coupons, give one to my girlfriend to use and both of us go together on the same trip?
Sorry I just found my answer I need to select the gifting option when I print it. Cool!
Since we will have prepaid for the trip are there any deposits required?

Hi Carmen,
No deposit with this Groupon. Enjoy :)

We just went on the full day Salt River raft trip on May 2 and it was awesome! The ride was exciting and yet safe and the guide was knowledgeable and witty. I plan to go again next year! The scenery was awesome. Want to thank Wilderness Aware Rafting and Groupons…A special thanks to Will, our guide, for a very memorable trip!

So What River and What stretch? It is unclear from the ad. On the web site the full day Salt is $116 plus the $20 fee= $136 so this still doesn’t add up to the $146. Sounds like it is a good deal but don’t want to end up floating down the lower Salt…
